Some of Art's report on the last meeting should be more widely distributed, so:

On Saturday May 29 in Abbotsford, and on Sunday May 30 in Surrey, California square dance marketing consultant , Lea Veronica will be presenting seminars on “Recruiting and Keeping New Dancers“. The seminar is free but you must reserve a seat – through Robert Ascroft. ( 604 – 515-0012 ). On Saturday, after the seminar, there will be a Square dance with caller Brent Mawdsley.

VALLEY CIRCLE -- looking for a Subscription Couple to replace Larry and Dianne Gillot re: doing subscriptions as they are retiring in 2010. The Valley Circle is having a contest for dancers to design the cover for their upcoming 50^th Anniversary issue.

SCROLL OF HONOR – The Caller/Teacher Scroll was recently awarded to Ron and Betty Berglund for their long service to the square dance community.

The FVSRDA website has free space for all clubs to post upcoming events and any special flyers they have produced.

The Promotion Committee is sponsoring a New Dancer Jamboree – April 17 , (Mainstream Level) at Ridge Meadows Senior Centre – cost of only $ 5.00 per person.

Upcoming events

There are two more special dances coming up on the Plus night. On Thursday March 11th we are having a St. Patrick's and Pie dance. And on April 1st we are having an Easter dance, wear your bonnet! These are regular dance nights, no tickets.

The club is having a Pub night in Coquitlam on Saturday April 10th. There is room for all, and anyone is welcome. There will be "people dancing" and a dinner. This is a ticketed event.

The club is also having a golf tournament on Sunday May 30th. Places are limited, so contact a club member if you want to sign up.

The Coop is having a recycle sale Saturday April 17th. Dance atire can be donated or sold on consignment. Contact the Ballam's for info. Hope the weather is nice for this.
